Dusit Thani Guam Resort
A tall, contemporary resort in the centre of the bay with direct beach access, next door to the main shopping block.

Choose the island first, then the stretch of coast. Here is how the areas differ, with well-reviewed hotels in each.
Accommodation in the Marianas is concentrated in two places: Tumon Bay on Guam, where resort hotels stand shoulder to shoulder along one road, and the west coast of Saipan from San Roque through Garapan to San Antonio. Everywhere else — southern Guam, Tinian, Rota — there are only a few places to sleep, and they should be reserved well ahead.
Because both main islands are small, your choice of hotel is about atmosphere rather than access: you can reach any sight on Guam within about an hour of Tumon, and any sight on Saipan within about 40 minutes of Garapan. We list real Trip.com properties with their guest scores at the time we checked; we do not quote prices because they swing widely between low season and the holiday peaks.

A short, deliberately selective list for each destination that has accommodation. Scores are Trip.com guest ratings out of 10 when we checked in October 2026.

A long-established beachfront resort in central Tumon set in gardens with lagoon-style pools, within walking distance of the shops.
A beachfront tower in the heart of Pleasure Island, attached to a shopping plaza — about as central as Tumon gets.

A large family resort beside Ypao Beach built around a water park and organised activities.
Guam’s pocket-sized capital and its war-scarred central coast: Spanish plazas, latte stones, landing beaches and the reef at Piti.

A resort on its own point between Tamuning and Hagåtña, with lagoon-style pools facing the bay; formerly the Sheraton Laguna.
A simple mid-range hotel in Tamuning, between Tumon and Hagåtña. It is not on the beach, so you will want a car.
The other Guam: volcanic hills, Spanish-era villages, waterfalls and quiet bays on a classic one-day loop drive.
A large golf and sports resort spread across the inland hills of Yona, far from the beaches and the Tumon strip. A car is essential.
A limestone plateau ending in cliffs: the famous view from Two Lovers Point, the wild beach at Ritidian and trails to caves and ancient villages.
The newest luxury tower in Tumon, standing on the cliff at the north end of the bay on Gun Beach Road, with wide views over the sea.
A long-established resort on the headland above Gun Beach at the north end of Tumon Bay, with its own small cove below.

A small hotel in San Jose village, within walking distance of the shops and a short way from the Taga Beach area.
Simple rooms and apartments in San Jose village, a practical base if you are staying a night or two with a hire car.
The “friendly island” between Guam and Tinian: one village on an isthmus, seabird cliffs, an ancient latte quarry and very clear water.
A small hotel in Songsong village, close to the shops and the harbour.
A simple, long-running hotel on the Songsong waterfront, with the village on its doorstep.
Dinner shows, dolphin cruises and guided snorkelling run with limited seats and fill up around New Year, Lunar New Year, Golden Week and the summer holidays. Compare what is bookable online and reserve in a couple of taps.
For most visitors, central Tumon: the beach, restaurants and shops are all on foot. Choose the north end for newer hotels and quiet, or Agana Bay for lower prices if you have a car.
Garapan if you want to walk to dinner and the Managaha boats; Susupe or San Antonio for big family resorts on the lagoon; San Roque for peace and proximity to the northern cliffs.
Yes, in a handful of small hotels and guesthouses in San Jose (Tinian) and Songsong (Rota). Standards are simple and rooms are few — book before you buy flights. See Tinian and Rota.
Not in the Caribbean sense, but several family resorts on both islands sell meal-and-activity packages that work in a similar way. Compare what is included carefully.
Only with a week or more: the flight between them is short but not cheap, and each island deserves at least three nights. Our itineraries show how to combine them.
