Getting around Tumon & Tamuning

On foot: the central part of Tumon is walkable, with pavements along Pale San Vitores Road and the beach itself as a second route. It is hot and humid by day; mornings and evenings are more comfortable.

Shopping shuttles: visitor trolley-style buses link the Tumon hotels with the malls in Tumon, Tamuning and Dededo, and some run to Hagåtña and the Chamorro Village night market. Routes and passes change, so ask your hotel for the current map.

Taxis and ride apps: taxis are metered and comparatively expensive for short hops; a local ride-hailing app also operates. Car hire is the best way to see the rest of Guam — desks are at the airport and in the larger hotels, you drive on the right under US road rules, and the island speed limit is low. Most visitors may drive on their home licence for a short stay; confirm with the rental company.
